The energy was very high in the tent for this show and by the end, the entire crowd was on its feet, applauding wildly. We weren't feeling it. There are some very beautiful pieces here, but by the time we got to the end of the collection, with one outrageous gown after another coming out, our overall impression was that the collection was a bit overdone. Looking over it a second time here, we're struck by how little cohesion there is. It would be tough for us to find a theme or through-line, except "clothes for showy rich girls." There are individual pieces we like quite a bit: the gray and metallic silver print gown, the pewter sequined gown, and the black bias cut gown with the metallic strips - all very red carpet ready. But for the most part, we thought the collection hopped over the line separating "outrageous" and "luxe" from "tacky."
