So many thoughts swirling through our heads on this one, kittens: that no American magazine would be likely to dress Beyoncé up as an African queen, let alone a succession of them; that it's kind of funny how a Gucci dress really can be styled to look like something out of an African folk tale, but it's astonishing that a Viktor & Rolf dress can; that her body looks refreshingly realistic on the cover; that we have reactions to Beyoncé in black face but that we're not sure how to articulate them and besides, as a couple of white guys we'd sound awfully entitled putting them out there. Suffice it to say, it's another of those things you won't see in an American fashion magazine. We tend to lighten our dark-skinned celebrities, you see.
