It's only the participation of Keira and the clothes themselves that elevate this totally standard editorial. Maybe we've just seen one too many editorials or maybe Mario Testino needs a break, but we find ourselves more and more hungry for something that intrigues or excites the eye. After a while, these all start to blend together: pouty model or actress, dramatic lighting, virtually nondescript backdrop with some slight aristocratic overtones. Done, done, and done.
Still, it's pretty. We can't deny that. Keira is one of those women who probably could have just as easily chosen modeling as acting. In fact, she might even have done better for herself (not that she's doing so bad). We're about to make an invocation that will set the queens shrieking, and we apologize for going to this tired old well, but she really does have a lot of the same qualities as Audrey Hepburn, another woman who might have been a model if she'd been a little taller. Keira has a grace and a camera presence and she looks fantastic in just about anything. Luckily for her, the clothes are gorgeous on their own, so she didn't have to work too hard to make them look good.
