Marie Claire Turkey: Dark Age
Marie Claire Turkey November 2010 Issue
Editorial: "Dark Age"
Photographer: Ayten Alpun
Models: Anna, Viola and Özlem
Hair: Sedat Temur
Makeup: Hamiyet Akpinar
Stylist: Hakan Öztürk
We thought these images were striking, and a bit of a departure for a fashion editorial; with a feel that's both Old World and other worldly at the same time. One wouldn't think styling that calls to mind nuns and Puritans could look so beautiful, modern, and even sexy. You can attribute at least some of the exoticism on display to the use of pieces from Turkish designers mixed in among the ones from more well known international designers. We don't have runway shots for every piece, but we can tell you the models are wearing looks by Stefanel, Closh, Dilek Hanif, Brandroom, Park Bravo, Prada, Zara Kids, Penti, and Özlem Kaya.
